Kaz studied drawing, painting,(watercolour, oil), carving and so on at Kesamitsu Maruyama's (prestigious local painter) in Japan.

He moved to London in 1999 to form R&R band. After years of gigiging, the instrumental rock / electronica duo "Liquor Store" was just about to rise with some record labels interest, but a fatal injury on his index finger made him back down from music scene.

Now, he is concentrating on ceramics and is also a mould maker of IKUKO Iwamoto Ceramics.
